PICCOLO CAFE, an Italian café located in 40th street closer to 8 Avenue. It has been my go-to café whenever I need a coffee desperately, especially when I have an early meeting. I would visit the cafe at least once or twice a week to get my Mocha Coffee and pair it with chocolate croissant. It’s always one of the best 10 minutes of the day!
As you step into the café, it will bring you back to the old times of 20th century. The rusty interior is decorated with old fashion lamps, wooden tables and chairs, and I love the wallpaper!….as you wait for your coffee, take a look at the contents of wallpaper, those are Italian news clips back in the first half of 20th century. In addition to coffee and bread, they also serve authentic Italian food. Since the place is small and only have limited seats, I usually order for take-out. Customer service is nice! I love that the staffs are friendly and quick on what they do. You don’t have to wait forever to be served. Overall it’s a very charming little café you should visit when you stop by around the area, located next to the busiest Time Square and Port Authority.
